How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: SEN Teacher (Year 5/6)

    Location: Milton Keynes

    SEN Teacher - Milton Keynes

    We are currently recruiting for a SEN Teacher to join a highly supportive specialist school in Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced SEN Teacher or a primary-trained teacher looking to transition into a specialist setting.

    The school supports children with autism, speech and language needs, and sensory processing challenges, providing a nurturing and structured environment where learners can thrive both academically and socially.

    The Role

    As a SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a Year 5/6 class and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of your pupils. This is a full teaching role with complete classroom responsibilities, including planning, preparation, assessment, reporting, and working collaboratively with support staff and other professionals.

    This SEN Teacher position is due to start on 13th July and will continue until October half term.

    Key Responsibilities

    Planning and delivering high-quality lessons to a Year 5/6 class.
    Adapting learning to meet the needs of pupils with autism, speech and language needs, and sensory processing challenges.
    Monitoring and assessing pupil progress.
    Managing behaviour positively and effectively.
    Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents/carers.
    Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.Requirements

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
    Experience teaching within a primary setting.
    A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
    Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
    Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential for teachers looking to transition into a specialist setting.Why Apply?
