How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Dayshift Opportunity

    Paisley | Monday–Friday | 6:30am – 3:00pm

    Ready to leave shift work behind?

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a successful manufacturing business in Paisley. This permanent dayshift role offers the chance to work within a stable, supportive engineering team where you'll have a direct impact on plant performance, equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

    If you're a hands-on engineer with strong fault-finding skills and experience in a manufacturing environment, this role offers the perfect blend of technical responsibility, career stability and work-life balance.

    The Role

    As part of the engineering team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability of plant equipment, ensuring production downtime is minimised and operational performance is maximised.

    Working closely with both engineering and production teams, you'll support day-to-day maintenance activities while contributing to ongoing improvement projects across the site.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Diagnose and resolve electrical faults efficiently to minimise production downtime.

    * Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities across manufacturing equipment and machinery.

    * Maintain, repair and troubleshoot conveyor systems and associated plant equipment.

    * Support the ordering, management and control of engineering spare parts.

    * Work collaboratively with production and engineering colleagues to maximise plant performance.

    * Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health & Safety policies and procedures.

    * Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and support site improvement initiatives.

    * Accurately complete maintenance records and documentation as required.

    About You

    To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:

    * A minimum of 3 years' experience within an Electrical Maintenance Engineer position.

    * A strong electrical maintenance background gained within a manufacturing or production environment.

    * Experience within FMCG or another fast-paced manufacturing sector would be advantageous, although not essential.

    * The ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and technical documentation.

    * Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving skills.

    * A proactive and flexible approach to maintenance activities.

    * A commitment to high engineering standards, safety and continuous improvement.

    What's On Offer?

    * Permanent Monday–Friday dayshift role.

    * Working hours of 6:30am – 3:00pm.

    * Excellent work-life balance with no shift rotation, weekends or nights.

    * Overtime opportunities available.

    * Enhanced overtime rates paid at time and a half, with double time available on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    * Opportunity to join a well-established and successful manufacturing business.

    * Supportive team environment with long-term career prospects.

    * Stable employment within a growing operation investing in its people and facilities.
