How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Primary Teacher - Flexible Supply, Long-Term & Permanent Roles
    Location: Chesterfield & surrounding Derbyshire schools

    Are you a qualified Primary Teacher seeking a better balance, more variety, or a fresh route into consistent teaching work? We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and adaptable teachers to work across primary schools in Chesterfield and the surrounding area.

    This is a flexible opportunity covering EYFS, KS1, and KS2, with roles ranging from day-to-day supply through to longer-term placements and permanent positions.

    About the Role

    You will be working across a variety of welcoming primary school settings, stepping into classrooms where your teaching skills can make an immediate impact. Responsibilities include:

    Delivering engaging lessons across EYFS to Year 6
    Following school planning where provided, or adapting your own teaching when needed
    Maintaining positive behaviour and a productive classroom environment
    Quickly building rapport with pupils and staff in new settings
    Working flexibly across a minimum of 3 days per week
    Taking on daily supply, longer-term cover, or permanent opportunities depending on preference

    What We're Looking For

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
    Experience teaching within UK primary settings
    Confidence working across the primary age range (EYFS-KS2)
    A flexible, proactive approach to different school environments
    Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
