How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Engineer

    Lift Service & Repair, Lift Industry

    Enfield, North London

    Basic Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience & qualifications)
    Plus discretionary six-monthly performance bonuses

    Locations Considered: Ealing, Harrow, Watford, Luton, Tottenham, Waltham Cross, Enfield, Dartford, Essex and surrounding areas.

    Marmon Lift Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Lift Engineer to join a growing and highly respected lift company operating across North London and the Home Counties. This role would suit a Lift Engineer located within the northern London corridor, ideally between the M40 and M11, although applicants from Essex will also be considered.
    This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business that invests heavily in its engineers, technology, and ongoing technical development.

    The Lift Engineer Role

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance on passenger lifts.
    Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
    Conduct routine inspections and identify potential issues before they become major.
    Ensure all lift equipment complies with current safety standards, LOLER regulations and SAFed requirements.
    Complete service reports and documentation accurately using cloud-based systems.
    Work independently across your designated territory with full support from an experienced technical team.
    Participate in continuous training and development programmes.There will also be the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge within the platform lift sector, with comprehensive in-house training and support provided.

    Ideal Lift Engineer Candidate

    Currently working as a Lift Service Engineer, Lift Repair Engineer, Lift Modernisation Engineer or Lift Installation Engineer.
    Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in Lift Engineering.
    Proven experience in elevator maintenance, servicing and fault finding.
    Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
    Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
    Able to work effectively under pressure and manage workloads independently.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
