How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Warehouse Operative

    Locations: Sittingbourne Depot
    Salary: £12.50-13.00 per hour
    Contract Hours: 45 hours per week

    NEOS Engineering Recruitment are currently recruiting for Warehouse Operatives to join a growing team at our client depot in Scotland and Sittingbourne. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking individual with warehouse experience and a mechanical mindset to join a busy operational environment.

    The Role:

    As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring materials are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched efficiently and safely.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Carry out general warehouse duties including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods
    Load and unload materials from trucks and containers
    Operate forklifts and warehouse equipment to safely move materials around the facility
    Use CRM/inventory systems to track stock levels and manage orders
    Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
    Follow all health & safety procedures and company guidelines at all times
    Support the wider team with daily warehouse operations

    About You:

    We are looking for someone who is dependable, safety-focused, and able to work effectively in a busy warehouse environment.

    Essential Skills & Experience:

    Previous warehouse experience or experience in a similar environment preferred
    Mechanical knowledge and confidence operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts
    Strong attention to detail with good accuracy when picking and packing orders
    Ability to complete physical tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods
    Good communication skills and a positive approach to teamwork
