An established and growing specialist engineering business is seeking an experienced Refrigeration Project Manager to oversee refrigeration installation projects across Gloucestershire, the South West, and South East regions.
The company delivers refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and heating solutions to a wide range of commercial clients and has built a strong reputation for quality, technical expertise, and customer service.
This opportunity would suit a technically strong individual who can successfully manage projects from initial survey through to commissioning, handover, and ongoing client support.
The Role
As Refrigeration Project Manager, you will take ownership of refrigeration installation projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget.
The role combines project management responsibilities with technical oversight, including commissioning support, system optimisation, troubleshooting, and client handover. You will work closely with engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and end clients to ensure projects are delivered to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
* Manage refrigeration projects from initial survey through to completion and handover
* Conduct site surveys, prepare quotations, and support business development activities
* Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractors
* Monitor project timelines, budgets, and profitability
* Manage project variations, invoicing, and final accounts
* Attend client meetings, including pre-start and progress review meetings
* Maintain project documentation and internal systems
* Ensure compliance with all quality, health & safety, and industry standards
* Build strong client relationships and resolve issues effectively
Essential
* Proven experience managing refrigeration installation projects
* Strong technical understanding of refrigeration systems, cold rooms, and associated equipment
* Experience delivering projects from conception through to completion
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Commercial awareness with strong cost-control capabilities
* Good understanding of health & safety requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
* Previous commissioning or hands-on technical engineering experience
* Experience carrying out diagnostics and system performance optimisation
* Knowledge of F-Gas regulations and industry compliance standards
* Experience using project management or CRM systems
