How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    EYFS Teaching Assistant

    £90 - £100 per day

    Congleton, Cheshire

    EYFS | Thursdays & Fridays | September Start

    Astro Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Congleton to recruit a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant for a long-term position starting in September.

    This is a part-time role working every Thursday and Friday, supporting pupils within the Early Years Foundation Stage. The school would ideally like to appoint a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant, although applications from experienced EYFS practitioners are also welcomed.

    About the Role

    As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support children's learning, development, and wellbeing. You will help deliver engaging activities, encourage positive social interactions, and contribute to creating a stimulating learning environment.

    What We're Looking For

    Successful candidates will:

    * Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant or Early Years qualification (preferred)

    * Have experience working within an EYFS setting

    * Demonstrate a nurturing and patient approach

    * Be passionate about supporting children's development

    * Work effectively as part of a team

    * Be available to work every Thursday and Friday from September
