How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Overnight Respite Support Worker: A-ND Highlands

    Location: Main Office – Units 9-10 Bridgend Business Park, Dingwall, IV15 9SL. Overnight respite location – The Haven Suites.

    Salary: Hourly rate between 7am-11pm - £13.45, flat rate during sleeping £97.68 or awakening hours (between 11pm-7am) £115.20

    Shift Patterns:

    Full 18 hour Overnight (Sleeping only) 3pm – 9am Are you passionate about supporting neurodiverse children, young people, and adults? Do you want to make a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals and their families? A-ND () is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Neurodiversity Support Workers (NDSW) to join our team in Dingwall, Highlands.

    The Role

    To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support during overnight respite stays for neurodiverse individuals, ensuring their safety, comfort, and emotional well-being in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

    Provide overnight supervision and support tailored to individual needs, including personal care, emotional reassurance and personal outcomes.
    Follow individual personal plans, risk assessments and communication needs.
    Promote independence, dignity, and choice in all aspects of care.
    Support individuals with transitions, bedtime routines, and morning preparations.
    Monitor and respond to health needs, including administering medication (if trained and authorized).

    Requirements

    Preferred: Valid driver’s license, although non-drivers will be considered if all other criteria are met.

    Essential: A passion for working with neurodiverse individuals and a commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support. Must register with SSSC. Valid driver’s license, although non-drivers will be considered if all other criteria are met.

    Desirable: Previous experience in a similar role and relevant qualifications, although full training will be provided.
