How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Electrician

    Ipswich, Suffolk (Commutable from: Colchester, Stowmarket, Bury St Edwards, Newmarket, Thetford)

    £42,000 - £45,000 (OTE: £55,000) + Overtime + Training + Progression + Local Patch + Benefits + Van

    Are you an Industrial Electrician, looking to join a long-standing and successful Commercial business in a local field-based role?

    On offer is a highly secure permanent position for a company who heavily invests in their staff through on the job training, additional qualifications and competitive benefits.

    This company have traded as experts for over 100 years providing Installation services across the East of England.

    This role is Monday - Friday, 40 hours contracted and optional overtime. You will travel to a range of large industrial sites in a local patch performing Installation, Testing and Inspection. This could be on Control Panels, EV Points, Process systems and CompEx.

    This role would ideally suit an Approved Engineer looking to technically progress their career within a stable role with great on target earnings.

    The Role:

    Installation, Testing and Inspection.
    Industrial sites - large warehousing, stadiums etc.
    Monday - Friday flexible working.
    The Person:

    Electrically qualified - Level 3, 18th edition.
    Industrial experience.
    Located within Ipswich and surrounding areas.
