How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Business Development Manager (Healthcare)
    Location: West Yorkshire (Hybrid / Field-Based)

    The Company
    Our client is a well-established UK manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation, and customer service within the healthcare sector. Supplying specialist products to NHS Trusts, hospitals, care homes, and healthcare providers nationwide, the company is experiencing continued growth and is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive new business opportunities and strengthen existing customer relationships across the healthcare market.
    The Role
    The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities within the healthcare sector. The successful candidate will leverage their existing network and market knowledge to grow sales and expand the company's presence across NHS Trusts, hospitals, care groups, and other healthcare providers.
    This is a consultative sales role requiring a proven ability to manage long sales cycles, engage with key decision-makers, and successfully navigate healthcare procurement processes.
    Key Responsibilities
    Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve revenue and growth targets.
    Identify and win new business opportunities within NHS Trusts, hospitals, care homes, and private healthcare providers.
    Manage and develop relationships with procurement teams, clinical stakeholders, infection control teams, facilities managers, and senior decision-makers.
    Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through networking, market research, and relationship management.
    Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and commercial negotiations.
    Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and procurement frameworks.Work closely with internal teams including operations, production, customer service, and marketing to ensure successful project delivery.
    Attend industry exhibitions, conferences, and networking events.
    Prepare accurate sales forecasts and regular management reports using CRM systems.
    Candidate Requirements
    Essential
    Proven track record in Business Development, Account Management, or Healthcare Sales.
    Existing relationships and established contacts within NHS Trusts, hospitals, care homes, and wider healthcare providers
    *
    Demonstrable success selling healthcare products such as:
    *
    Mattresses
    *
    Pressure care products
    *
    Medical textiles
    *
    Healthcare furnishings
    *
    Patient care equipment
    *
    Similar healthcare consumables or manufactured products
    *
    Strong understanding of NHS procurement processes and healthcare purchasing frameworks.
    *
    Experience managing complex sales cycles and tender opportunities.
    *
    Excellent negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    *
    Commercially driven with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
    *
    Full UK driving licence.
    Desirable
    *
    Experience selling into pressure ulcer prevention, patient handling, infection prevention, or specialist healthcare product categories.
    *
    Knowledge of public sector procurement frameworks.
    *
    Experience working for a manufacturer or healthcare products supplier.
    *
    Familiarity with NHS Supply Chain and framework agreements.
