A caring, inclusive, and forward‑thinking school in the Thetford area is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a full‑time long‑term supply basis from September. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about supporting pupils with a wide range of special educational needs and helping them achieve meaningful progress both academically and personally.
In this role, you will work closely with small groups and individual learners, delivering tailored and engaging teaching that meets each child’s unique needs. You will bring strong SEN experience, a flexible and creative approach, and the ability to adapt your teaching to support pupils with diverse learning profiles, including ASD, SEMH, speech and language needs, and more complex developmental or behavioural challenges. Patience, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive, child‑centred practice are essential qualities for success.
The school is looking for someone who can build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, communicate effectively with support staff and families, and contribute to a nurturing, structured, and well‑organised learning environment. You will be joining a highly supportive team with strong leadership, well‑resourced classrooms, and a shared commitment to helping every child thrive. The school places a strong emphasis on wellbeing, consistency, and collaborative working, ensuring that staff feel valued and supported throughout their placement.
