How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The successful Manufacturing Engineer will be easily able to commute to HUDDERSFIELD from surrounding towns & cities, including Leeds, Dewsbury, Halifax, Wakefield and Brighouse.

    Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Engineer will include:
    * Provide manufacturing engineering support to production and assembly teams, ensuring quality, safety, and delivery targets are met.
    * Act as the key link between Engineering and Manufacturing, providing clear technical guidance to production teams.
    * Support design reviews and manufacturability assessments to achieve efficient, right-first-time production.
    * Lead PFMEA activities, process mapping, and risk reduction initiatives to improve manufacturing performance.
    * Maintain manufacturing documentation, including drawings, work orders, routings, and technical packs.
    * Design tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing methods while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
    * Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to drive continuous improvement, quality, and process efficiency.

    For the Manufacturing Engineer role, we are keen to receive CV's from candidates who possess:
    * Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong understanding of machining and assembly processes.
    * Ability to interpret technical drawings, create manufacturing documentation, and apply GD&T principles.
    * Experience of CNC programming, process development, and continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment.
    * Proficiency in engineering systems and software, including SAP and 2D/3D CAD packages.
    * Strong metrology and inspection skills, with experience using precision measurement equipment to verify component and assembly accuracy.

    Salary & Benefits:

    Competitive salary of up to £50,000, based on skills and experience
    Standard Monday to Friday working pattern
    37.5-hour working week
    Generous holiday allowance of 25 days plus Bank Holidays
