How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term till 31/08/2027
    Location: Brighton, East Sussex
    Salary: up to £30,000 per annum

    Support Marketing team to maximise the commercial potential of a portfolio of Study Group products via our university partners and Study Group channels.
    Deliver a range of marketing plans and activities designed to target key personas and markets with the aim of driving conversions and new student enrolments.

    Co-ordinate the delivery of marketing activities in a complex matrix environment including competitor and customer research, as well as creative and digital briefs.

    Help to co-ordinate and deliver marketing plans in defined areas of the business. This could include portfolio wide initiatives or projects across the marketing function or wider study group team.

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    * Implement marketing plans according to the student journey.

    * Co-ordinate the briefing, creation and implementation in a timely manner of marketing activities across a range of channels e.g. web, social media and print.

    * Analyse and report performance data to assess whether the objectives are being met and identify trends and opportunities.

    * Actively participate in reviewing marketing activity including analysing results, identifying lessons learned and sharing best practices.

    * Maintain the accuracy of public information covering all marketing collateral and websites.

    * Gather and communicate opportunities for content that support the student journey and help to maintain social media activity (as required).

    * Continually seek to improve the customer experience by listening to and acting on student needs.

    * Undertake desk research including customer, competitor and market analysis.

    * Administrative duties including keeping data in IT systems current and reporting as required.

    * Support and take a lead in portfolio marketing activity and marketing project work as required.

    * Support any efforts to ensure changing needs and business goals are managed and responded to.

    * Monitor programme and partner updates to ensure all information is accurately reflected on websites and other materials.

    * Support the growth of the student ambassador programme when needed.

    * Consolidate information from key news reports and rankings to disseminate and use across core collateral.

    * Work with cross-functional teams to manage webinar requests – invitations, training deck-creation, hosting, follow-ups.

    * Contribute to blog creation and social media content as needed.

    * Manage ad-hoc CRM requests.

    ABOUT YOU

    * Degree, or relevant qualification in Marketing desirable

    * Fluent in English with excellent written and oral skills

    * Ability to work within tight deadlines and juggling priorities

    * Interest or experience of the higher education sector

    * Confident communicator, internally and externally

    * Strong professional writing skills and visual sense

    * An eye for detail and accuracy

    * Results driven

    * Influencing skills to make things happen through others

    * Ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives/projects

    * Strong problem-solving skills

    * Numerate

    * Proactive, high-energy level
