How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Quality Manager (Construction / Civils)

    Location: Birmingham (Hybrid)
    Salary: Up to £65,000 + Excellent Benefits Package
    Contract Type: Permanent

    The Opportunity

    Bryan & Armstrong are supporting the recruitment of a Quality Manager to join one of the UK's largest and most significant infrastructure programmes.

    Working within a major civils delivery environment, you will provide leadership, assurance and technical support on quality management across complex construction activities. The role will focus on driving a "right first time" culture, supporting supply chain performance, and ensuring compliance with quality standards, management systems and project requirements.

    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional looking to work on a nationally significant programme where quality plays a critical role in successful project delivery.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Monitor supply chain compliance against quality standards and contractual requirements.

    * Conduct quality audits and assurance activities across delivery teams and contractors.

    * Identify trends, non-conformances and defects, driving root cause analysis and preventative actions.

    * Support the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and "right first time" performance measures.

    * Review and accept contractor quality documentation, including Quality Management Plans and Audit Schedules.

    * Provide expert quality advice to project delivery teams and key stakeholders.

    * Deliver training and guidance on quality requirements, processes and best practice.

    * Promote lessons learned, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across the programme.

    About You

    To be considered, you should be able to demonstrate:

    * Degree, HNC or HND in an engineering, construction or related discipline.

    * IRCA Approved ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification.

    * Experience delivering quality assurance within large infrastructure, construction or engineering projects.

    * Strong understanding of quality management systems, auditing and assurance processes.

    * Experience analysing quality performance data, NCRs, defects and trends.

    * Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.

    * Ability to produce high-quality reports and present findings to senior stakeholders.
