How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Support projects from initial concept through to installation and commissioning.
Review and improve existing designs to enhance performance, reliability, and manufacturability.
Conduct design calculations and technical assessments where required.
Work closely with suppliers and subcontractors to source components and resolve technical queries.
Ensure all designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and customer specifications.

    Essential Requirements

Degree, HNC, HND, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related discipline.
Proficient in SolidWorks, including parts, assemblies, and drawing creation.
Experience producing manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
Strong understanding of engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
Ability to interpret technical specifications and customer requirements.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
    Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

    Desirable Skills

Experience in the water treatment, process, manufacturing, or industrial sectors.
Knowledge of sheet metal, fabrication, and welded assemblies.
Familiarity with P&IDs and process equipment layouts.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and design validation.
Understanding of materials selection and corrosion-resistant design.
Experience with ERP or MRP systems.

    What We Offer

    Competitive salary and benefits package.
    Company pension scheme.
Ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Exposure to a wide range of engineering projects.
Career progression within a growing organisation.
