Lotus Recruitment is recruiting passionate and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants to join our partnered independent SEN school in Preston this September.
About the Role
As an HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to plan and deliver lessons, lead small group interventions, and step in to cover classes when required, ensuring continuity and quality of learning for pupils with additional needs.
What We’re Looking For
* HLTA status or equivalent experience
* Proven experience working with SEN pupils (essential)
* Strong understanding of needs including ASC, ADHD, SEMH, and complex learning needs
* Experience leading groups or delivering interventions independently
* The confidence to support lesson delivery and manage classroom activity
* A calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading targeted interventions and small group learning
* Supporting lesson planning and delivery
* Covering classes where required
* Building strong, supportive relationships with pupils
* Helping create a structured, positive learning environment

£135.00 - £175.00 per day
