How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Our national workspace teams provide a proactive and professional workspace management service to The Guinness Partnership.

    We have a new opportunity for an Area Workspace Manager to join the Guinness team. This is a permanent, full-time role. This is an agile role, your time will be split between on‑site visits across the North, office-based work, and some home working as required.

    As an Area Workspace Manager, you will be responsible for managing workspace across the North region, completing audits to ensure compliance and management of sites. You will lead planning and delivery of workspace projects (refurbishments, compliance works) and monitor workspace usage, providing monthly updates and insights. You will oversee regular risk assessments across all workspace areas, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and operational standards while proactively identifying and mitigating potential hazards.

    What we are looking for

    We know that how we do things is just as important as what we do. In addition to bringing your experience of managing workspace services across a multi-site portfolio, you will demonstrate the ability to work independently, effectively organise your workload, and manage your time efficiently.

    You will be able to demonstrate:

    Knowledge and experience of Health and Safety regulation and legislation.

    Experience of managing capital and revenue budgets.

    Experience of delivering workspace management services across a multi-site portfolio.

    Experience of business continuity and disaster recovery (BC/DR) planning and implementation.

    Project management experience.

    Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

    Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.

    Essential Qualifications:

    NEBOSH Certificate in Health and Safety
