How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    About the role

    We have a new 12-month fixed term role based at our Pickmere Extra Care scheme in Crewe.

    The purpose of this role is to provide a welcoming reception and effective access control services to ensure a safe and secure living environment. This is a full-time position working 12 hour shifts, 2 nights on, 4 nights off.

    What we are looking for

    We are looking for someone with direct experience working with residents and handling feedback in a busy service ‑ delivery environment. , You will be a confident user of IT equipment, including knowledge of CCTV operation. The role will also include some domestic duties such as buffing in communal areas.

    You will be able to demonstrate these essential skills:

    Direct experience of working in a service delivery environment.

    Experience of adhering to Health and Safety rules within a customer facing environment.

    Good level of IT skills and knowledge of CCTV operation.

    Good time management.

    Good team working skills and a flexible approach to work.

    Good oral and written communications.

    Demonstrates the Guinness Behaviours.

    Desirable skills:

    Previous concierge experience.

    Previous experience of operating CCTV, including compliance with the Information Commissioner’s CCTV Code of Practice.

    Contractor management and experience in the delivery of estate, cleaning, caretaking, gardening and maintenance services.

    Experience of Health and Safety legislation and best practice in the delivery of estate services.

    Desirable Qualifications:

    Health and Safety certification.

    City & Guilds or NVQ in CCTV/Security Services.
