Smile Education is currently working in partnership with a Multi-Academy Trust that operates several mainstream primary schools across the Burton upon Trent area. Due to increasing demand, we are looking to recruit enthusiastic and adaptable Primary Teachers with QTS to provide day-to-day cover across a range of year groups.
Cover requirements can arise for a variety of reasons, including staff sickness, training courses, additional funding provisions, and extra support needed to ensure the smooth running of the school day. Opportunities are available from 1 to 5 days per week, offering flexibility to suit your availability.

Deliver engaging lessons across Nursery to Year 6
Maintain high standards of behaviour management
Adapt quickly to different classroom environments
Follow school policies and procedures
Work independently and use your initiative to ensure learning continues effectivelyEssential RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – no other teaching qualification will be accepted
Have recent experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
Be confident covering classes from Nursery through to Year 6
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
Be able to work independently and use your own initiative
Be available for day-to-day supply work
Be open to receiving morning calls for same-day cover assignments
Be able to travel to schools across the Burton upon Trent area
Be available to work school hours of 8:15am – 3:30pm
Provide a minimum of two professional references covering the last two years, including comments on your interaction with children
