How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Bicester, Oxfordshire
    £40,000 - £55,000 Basic Salary (DOE)
    Monday to Friday | 07:30 - 16:30

    Join a Leading Concrete Equipment Specialist
    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Concrete Pump Engineer to join a well-established and respected business specialising in the supply, maintenance, and support of concrete equipment throughout the UK.
    This is a hands-on role offering excellent earning potential, ongoing training, and the opportunity to work with some of the most advanced concrete pumping equipment in the industry.
    Based in Bicester, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of truck-mounted and static concrete pumps, both from the workshop and at customer sites when required.

    The Role
    As a Concrete Pump Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment remains safe, reliable, and operational for customers across the UK.

    Key Responsibilities
    ·Diagnose faults and carry out repairs on truck-mounted and static concrete pumps.
    ·Perform routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
    ·Prepare and inspect equipment prior to customer delivery and dispatch.
    ·Attend site breakdowns and provide technical support when required.
    ·Complete service documentation and maintain accurate maintenance records.
    ·Carry out mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding.
    ·Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.
    ·Maintain high standards of workmanship and professionalism at all times.

    What We're Looking For
    Essential
    ·Previous experience working on concrete pumps, heavy plant, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, HGVs, or similar equipment.
    ·Strong hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical diagnostic skills.
    ·Proven fault-finding and repair experience.
    ·Full UK Driving Licence.
    ·Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
    ·Strong communication and organisational skills.

    Desirable
    ·Previous experience working specifically on concrete pumps.
    ·Knowledge of hydraulic systems and heavy plant equipment.
    ·Experience attending customer site breakdowns and field service work.
