How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Product Development Engineer

    Pay Rate: £45 - £55 Ltd

    Location: Tewkesbury
    Contract: 6x Months Rolling

    Sector: Aerospace
    Start Date: ASAP

    About the Role:

My client is seeking a seasoned Product Development Engineer to join the Tewkesbury based team on a 6-month rolling contract. In this role, you’ll contribute to the design, development, and testing of hydraulic components used in commercial and military aircraft including flight and engine control systems.

This is a hands-on engineering position requiring strong technical grounding, cross-functional collaboration, and clear communication across teams. The work is based primarily on-site, with some flexibility available.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Support the design and development of hydraulic components for aerospace applications.

    * Conduct and implement FMEAs, including PFMEAs, and develop mitigation actions through to closure.

    * Participate in APQP activities and generate process flow diagrams to support development processes.

    * Interpret technical drawings, support tooling definition and liaise with Design, A&T, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.

    * Write clear assembly instructions and production worksheets (strong MS Word skills essential).

    * Conduct performance calculations using Teamcenter when required.

    * Support hydraulic testing: troubleshoot test issues and assist test technicians with procedural clarity.

    * Produce development documentation including similarity reports, analysis reports, and development test reports.

    * Work proactively and autonomously, managing tasks to tight project timelines and fixed deadlines.

    Required Experience & Skills:

    * Background in mechanical engineering with a solid understanding of hydraulic systems and basic electrical principles.

    * Proven experience with FMEA/PFMEA, APQP, and process flow diagrams.

    * Ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings and technical documentation.

    * Confident producing tooling specifications and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver.

    * Proficient in Teamcenter or Mathcad Prime (including worksheet conversion from Mathcad 15).

    Additional Notes:

    * Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be ITAR compliant. Any dual nationality must be declared.
