How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Lift Service & Call-Out Engineer

    Location: London
    Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE
    Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

    The Role

    We are currently seeking an experienced Lift Service & Call-Out Engineer to join a growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer looking to work with a well-established company that values technical expertise, customer service, and employee development.

    You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, fault finding, repairs, and emergency call-outs across a varied portfolio of lift equipment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on a range of lift systems.
    Diagnose faults and undertake repairs to ensure equipment is returned to service safely and efficiently.
    Respond to emergency breakdowns and customer call-outs.
    Complete all service documentation accurately and on time.
    Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current safety regulations and company procedures.
    Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service delivery.
    Participate in a 1-in-5 call-out rota.

    Requirements

    NVQ Level 3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) is essential.
    Proven experience servicing and fault-finding on passenger, goods, and platform lifts.
    Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
    Good understanding of current lift industry regulations and standards.
    Full UK Driving Licence.
    Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.

    Package

    £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on experience.
