The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with rail industry standards, client requirements, and health and safety legislation while maintaining excellent stakeholder relationships.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of rail earthworks and civil engineering projects.
* Lead project teams, subcontractors, and site personnel to achieve project objectives.
* Develop and maintain project programmes, budgets, and resource plans.
* Ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contractual requirements.
* Monitor project performance, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation measures.
* Liaise with clients, designers, suppliers, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
* Prepare and present progress reports, financial forecasts, and project updates.
* Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, industry regulations, and company procedures.
* Manage change control, commercial performance, and project documentation.
* Promote a positive safety culture and ensure all works are carried out in line with company and client expectations.
Essential Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager delivering rail infrastructure projects.
* Strong background in earthworks, groundworks, and civil engineering projects within the rail sector.
* Valid Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification (essential).
* Demonstrable experience managing project budgets, programmes, and resources.
* Excellent understanding of rail industry standards, safety requirements, and construction methodologies
