Cleaner - Wakefield

Your New Company:We are recruiting a cleaner to work at HMYOI Wetherby. This is a long-term temporary contract offering sociable, full-time hours. There is the chance of a permanent job offer for the right candidate.

As the Cleaner, you'll be involved in a wide range of tasks crucial to our daily operations. Your responsibilities will typically include:

To provide a cleaning service that meets contractual commitments including, but not limited to, tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, emptying bins, the polishing of surfaces, mopping of areas required.
Work according to legislative regulations, i.e. ensuring the correct use of colour-coded equipment
Comply with Internal and External HSEA requirements
Provide a cleaning service that delivers to our contractual requirements
Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels
Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
To ensure a high quality service is provided to the building users at all times, ensuring customer satisfaction
To report any concerns or issues to the supervisor immediately for action, e.g. broken equipment
Ensure that all duties are completed in the time provided to a high standard
Operates in accordance with the Soft Services Platform and handbookDetails:
Pay Frequency: Weekly
Standard Hourly Rate: £13.45
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: 39 hours per week

What you'll need to succeed
All applicants who are interested in the position must pass Prison Clearance, which can take up to 8 weeks or more. You will need a passport or photo driving licence to apply for clearance. Once passed, this is valid for 5 years and can be transferred to any other prisons of a similar category.
