How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed KS1 Supply Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in South Ockendon from September 2026. This role would suit a passionate primary practitioner who can deliver engaging lessons, create a positive learning environment, and support pupils in achieving their full potential.
    The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality teaching across Key Stage 1, maintaining excellent classroom management, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for pupils.
    Key Responsibilities
    * Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
    * Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
    * Assess, monitor and record pupil progress.
    * Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
    * Promote high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
    * Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members.
    * Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
    * Uphold safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times.
    The Successful Candidate Will Have
    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
    * Experience teaching within Key Stage 1.
    * Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
    * Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
    * A commitment to raising standards and improving outcomes for pupils.
    * The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
    * A thorough understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
