How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Due to sustained business growth and increasing project demand, a leading automation solutions provider who are part of a well-established engineering group is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Electrical Design Engineer to join their close-knit team. Based on the scenic north east coast of the UK, this role offers the chance to work in a stable, supportive environment where your contribution will be valued across a range of industrial projects.

    Electrical Design Engineer

    £35,000 - £55,000 DOE + Profit Share + Pension + Expenses

    You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality electrical designs to industrial automation clients, ensuring compliance with standards while supporting innovation and efficiency in manufacturing and production.

    Electrical Design Engineer - The Role:

    Create and develop detailed electrical schematic diagrams using AutoCAD Electrical
    Prepare and manage accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for manufacturing and procurement
    Estimate and cost control panels from customer specifications, documentation, and site meetings
    Collaborate with internal teams and customers during design reviews and project kick-offs
    Support and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) to validate panel performance
    Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations throughout the design process
    Electrical Design Engineer - The Person:

    HNC (or higher) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related discipline or relevant experience
    Proven experience in the design and manufacture of industrial control panels is highly desirable
    Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical preferred
    Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to high-quality output
    Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret technical specifications and liaise confidently with clients and cross-functional teams
