How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the Development Engineer - Battery Module (Mechanical) will support the development and scaling of battery cells and modules from early concept through to manufacturing and deployment, combining hands‑on engineering with mechanical design and testing activities.

The Development Engineer - Battery Module (Mechanical) will:

Support the scale‑up of laboratory cells to larger formats, including design, assembly, testing and validation.
Design and develop compression systems, prototypes, fixtures and jigs for cells and modules.
Define and implement thermal and gas management strategies at cell and module level.
Support quality improvement activities related to manufacturing and assembly processes.
Contribute to the design and integration of cell‑to‑module electrical interfaces in collaboration with other teams.
Create and maintain CAD models and engineering drawings to support development and production.
The Development Engineer - Battery Module (Mechanical) will have:

A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Hands‑on experience taking products from prototype through to production and deployment.
Experience designing parts and assemblies with a focus on manufacturability and assembly.
Strong experience using CAD software to create parts, assemblies and technical drawings.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to defined timelines.
Experience working within multidisciplinary teams and translating technical concepts into practical solutions.
This role is suited to someone who enjoys combining design work with hands‑on engineering, contributing to the development and scaling of advanced battery technologies. If this aligns with your experience, use an up-to-date CV to apply and a member of our team will be in touch shortly
