How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Teaching Assistant – SEMH Provision

We are seeking an exceptional Teaching Assistant to join our SEMH provision and become a valued member of a dedicated team supporting young people to achieve both academically and personally.

This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, adaptable, and able to use their initiative. We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who sees the whole child, and understands that relationships, wellbeing, and emotional regulation are often the foundation for educational success.

    About the Role

As a whole-class Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teaching staff to support a cohort of pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will provide both academic and pastoral support, helping pupils engage positively with learning while developing confidence, resilience, and independence.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

    * Builds positive, genuine relationships with young people.

    * Is confident using their initiative and responding flexibly to the needs of the day.

    * Understands that behaviour is a form of communication.

    * Can provide both academic support and emotional guidance.

    * Remains calm, patient, and solution-focused during challenging situations.

    * Has high expectations and believes every young person can succeed.

    * Enjoys working as part of a supportive and collaborative team.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Support learning across the classroom, helping pupils access lessons and achieve their potential.

    * Provide targeted support for pupils who require additional academic intervention.

    * Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and positive engagement.

    * Support the implementation of behaviour and wellbeing strategies.

    * Encourage independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

    * Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

    * Contribute to the wider pastoral support of pupils and their families where appropriate.

    * Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and external professionals to support positive outcomes.

    What We Offer

    * A rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day.

    * A supportive team that values creativity, initiative, and professional growth.

    * Opportunities for training and development in SEMH and therapeutic approaches.

    * The chance to build meaningful relationships and help young people overcome barriers to success.

    Join Us

If you are passionate about supporting both the academic progress and emotional wellbeing of young people, and want to be part of a team that changes lives, we would love to hear from you
