How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEND Tutor Required

    We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated SEND Tutor to provide high-quality educational support to children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), social, emotional, and mental health needs (SEMH), medical needs, and other barriers to learning.

    This rewarding role involves delivering personalised learning programmes that help pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve positive outcomes.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learner needs.

    * Support pupils at Key Stage 4 in one-to-one and small-group settings.

    * Work with learners who may have SEND, autism, ADHD, SEMH needs, anxiety, school avoidance, or medical conditions.

    * Monitor progress and adapt teaching approaches to maximise engagement and achievement.

    * Liaise effectively with families, schools, local authorities, and other professionals.

    * Deliver sessions in community settings

    * Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding procedures at all times.

    Essential Requirements

    * Relevant tutoring experience.

    * Experience working with children and young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs.

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    * Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.

    * Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities.
