How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

International Arbitration Associate | 1-3 PQE | London

A rare opportunity to join one of London's leading disputes-only law firms, working exclusively on complex, high-value international arbitration matters.

This specialist team advises multinational corporations, financial institutions, sovereign states, state-owned entities and high-net-worth individuals on some of the most challenging cross-border disputes in the market. Matters regularly involve multiple jurisdictions, significant financial exposure and strategic issues at the forefront of international arbitration.

Unlike many full-service firms, disputes are not just one practice area here—they are the firm's entire focus. The result is a platform where lawyers develop genuine arbitration expertise, gain early responsibility and work alongside some of the market's most respected disputes practitioners.

    The Work

    You can expect exposure to:

    • International commercial arbitration under ICC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC and UNCITRAL rules

    • Investor-state and investment treaty disputes

    • Enforcement and challenge of arbitral awards

    • Jurisdictional challenges and procedural applications

    • High-value disputes across energy, infrastructure, mining, telecommunications, financial services and industrial sectors

    • Parallel court proceedings, injunctions and interim relief applications

    • Multi-jurisdictional matters involving overseas counsel, experts and witnesses

    The Ideal Candidate

    • England & Wales qualified solicitor

    • Around 1-3 years PQE

    • Trained and retained within a recognised UK law firm

    • Existing international arbitration experience is essential

    • Strong drafting and analytical skills

    • Excellent academic background

    • Comfortable working directly with sophisticated international clients

    • Ambitious and keen to build a long-term career in arbitration

    Why Consider This Opportunity?

    • Join a market-leading disputes-only platform

    • Work on genuinely international, high-profile matters

    • Direct access to partners and senior decision-makers

    • Early responsibility and client exposure

    • Collegiate, entrepreneurial culture

    • Clear opportunity to develop into a leading arbitration specialist

    • Competitive US/international firm-level remuneration and bonus structure

This role is particularly well suited to associates currently at large international or full-service firms who are looking to specialise further and build their career within a practice where international arbitration sits at the heart of everything they do.

    📩 Confidential conversations welcome.
