How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    🚒🍈 Now we're looking for a Melon Planner to join our Importations/Logistics team, with a focus on supply chain planning, imports coordination and customer fulfilment across the UK melon category. 🍈🚒


    Here’s what you will do:

    Manage the day-to-day planning and coordination of the UK melon supply chain, ensuring product is delivered from origin through to customer efficiently and in line with service, cost and availability targets. You will work closely with imports, logistics, transport, customs, sales and demand planning teams to maintain visibility of supply, manage allocations and resolve operational issues.

    Coordinate supply plans, monitor shipments and support customer order fulfilment, while ensuring import and export activities are completed accurately and in line with business requirements. You will also support reporting and performance monitoring, providing timely information on supply, service and logistics performance.

    Track supply chain costs, manage claims and support the resolution of supply chain challenges, working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. In addition to your core responsibility for UK melons, you will provide planning, logistics and operational support across other product categories and business areas as business needs require.


    🍈Some key responsibilities:

    • Coordinate supply plans and allocations to support customer demand and product availability
    • Monitor shipments and manage the flow of product through the supply chain
    • Support customer order fulfilment and service performance against agreed targets
    • Ensure import, export and customs processes are completed accurately and compliantly
    • Track supply chain costs and support claims management activities
    • Produce and maintain reporting on supply, service and logistics performance
    • Collaborate with internal teams, customers and service providers to resolve operational issues
    • Support wider supply chain activities, projects and business priorities as required


    🍈 What you need to bring:

    • Experience in supply chain planning, import/export logistics or fresh produce operations
    • Understanding of supply chain, transport, customs and logistics processes
    • Strong organisational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced business
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills, with excellent attention to detail
    • Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with operational data and reporting
    • Ability to identify issues, solve problems and make sound operational decisions
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively across teams and with external stakeholders
    • Experience working with major UK retailers and/or perishable products would be advantageous
    • Spanish language skills would be advantageous
