How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    NEW SENIOR ELECTRONICS DESIGN ENGINEER BASED IN CAMBRIDGE.

    Our client is a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced RF and microwave solutions, supplying innovative products to the telecommunications, space, defence, and aerospace sectors. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their Systems Engineering team and play a key role in the development of next generation systems.

    As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration, and testing of advanced analogue and digital electronic systems. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will collaborate closely with RF, software, firmware, and systems engineers to deliver high performance products from concept through to manufacture.

    Responsibilities as a Senior Electronics Design Engineer in Cambridge.

    * Design and develop analogue, digital, and mixed signal electronic circuits.

    * Develop signal conditioning circuits, amplifiers, filters, and power supply solutions.

    * Design digital systems incorporating microprocessors, ADCs, DACs, and associated interfaces.

    * Produce specifications, perform simulations, and support component selection activities.

    * Participate in design reviews and technical discussions.

    * Create schematics and support PCB design activities.

    * Support new product introduction and ongoing product improvements.

    Requirements as a Senior Electronics Design Engineer in Cambridge.

    * Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or equivalent industry experience.

    * Strong experience in analogue and digital electronics design.

    * Experience producing schematics and supporting PCB development.

    * Familiarity with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, logic analysers, and spectrum analysers.
