How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    The Refrigeration Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of production equipment within the FMCG industry. Based in Bradford, this permanent role requires a hands-on approach and a focus on maintaining high standards of operational efficiency.

    This opportunity is working for a poultry processing business that focuses on delivering high-quality products to its customers.

    Description

    Duties will include however not be limited to;

    Performing routine maintenance and repairs on production machinery - blast freezers and air conditioning maintenance
    Carrying out reactive and planned refrigeration maintenance
    Diagnosing faults and identifying non repairable issues
    Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards during all maintenance activities.
    Collaborating with the production team to schedule and prioritise maintenance tasks.
    Recommending replacements and repair solutions where required
    Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
    Ensuring all equipment is operating safely and efficientlyProfile

    The successful candidate will have;

    Previous experience in refrigeration and air conditioning maintenance
    Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    Ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team
    Good teamwork and communication skills
    F-Gas certification - desirableJob Offer

    Working hours are Monday to Friday - 6am - 5pm

    Annual salary ranging from £50,000 to £60,000
