How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    KS2 Primary School Teacher – Potters Bar

    Location: Potters Bar area
    Start Date: September
    Contract Type: Full-time
    Pay: In line with MPS/UPS pay scale

    Supply Desk is currently recruiting a motivated and enthusiastic Primary School Teacher to join a friendly and supportive school in the Potters Bar area from September.

    This exciting full-time opportunity is ideal for a teacher who is committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment across Key Stages 2. The successful candidate will be passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and confident in creating engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of all learners.

    Working as part of a collaborative staff team, you will play a key role in supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development. You will be responsible for delivering creative lessons, monitoring progress, maintaining strong communication with families, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

    This role would suit both experienced teachers and ECTs who are looking to develop their careers within a welcoming and nurturing school community.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons to students of various ages
    • Tracking and reporting students’ progress
    • Liaising with parents/carers to deliver reports
    • Contribution to extra-curricular activities and after-school clubs
    • Cooperation with colleagues in order to deliver the best possible outcomes

    Requirements:

    • Qualified Teaching Status (QTS)
    • Primary classroom experience
    • Passion for the development of learning
    • Excellent classroom management skills
    • Inclusive ethics
    • Knowledge/Maintenance/Promotion of safeguarding
