How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Full Stack Software Engineer (.NET / Vue.js / Azure - Ideally some Python/AWS will be very helpful)

    Contract: 6 Months Initial Contract

    Rate: £550 per day (Inside IR35)

    Location: Remote with 2 days per month onsite in Leeds or London

    Start: ASAP

    Overview

    We're looking for an experienced Full Stack Software Engineer to join a high-profile public sector digital transformation programme. You'll be working within an agile delivery team, building and enhancing modern, cloud-native applications used by thousands of end users.

    This role requires strong full-stack development expertise across .NET, Vue.js and Azure, alongside previous experience delivering solutions within Government, NHS, or wider public sector environments.

    Key Responsibilities

    Design, develop and maintain scalable web applications using .NET and Vue.js
    Build and enhance RESTful APIs and backend services
    Develop responsive, accessible front-end applications
    Deploy and support cloud-native solutions within Microsoft Azure
    Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, DevOps and QA teams
    Contribute to technical design, code reviews and best practices
    Support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
    Ensure solutions meet security, performance and compliance standards

    Essential Skills & Experience

    Strong commercial experience with:
    C# /.NET Core / .NET 6+
    Vue.js
    JavaScript / TypeScript
    REST API development and integration
    SQL Server and relational databases
    Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including services such as:
    App Services
    Azure Functions
    Azure DevOps
    Storage Accounts
    Service Bus
    Key Vault
    Experience working within Agile delivery environments
    Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing and CI/CD

    Previous experience delivering projects within:

    UK Government departments
    NHS organisations
    Public Sector bodies

    Desirable Experience

    Candidates with any of the following will be particularly attractive:

    Python development experience
    AWS cloud experience
    API-first architecture and API management platforms
    Microservices architecture
    Containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes)
    Event-driven architectures
    Experience working on large-scale digital transformation programmes
    Exposure to GDS standards and public sector delivery frameworks
