How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This is an exciting opportunity to move beyond traditional healthcare settings and become part of a service that helps people stay healthy, safe, and productive at work. Whether you're an experienced Clinical Technician, Healthcare Assistant, Occupational Health Technician, or Phlebotomist looking for your next challenge, we'll provide the support and development opportunities to help you thrive.

    Why Join Us?

    Every day, you'll play a vital role in protecting employee health and wellbeing, working alongside Occupational Health Advisors and clinicians to deliver high-quality health screening, surveillance programmes, and clinical support services.

    No two days are the same. You'll be working across a variety of locations, meeting different people, developing specialist skills, and making a genuine impact on workforce health.

    What You'll Be Doing

    * As a Clinical Health Technician, you'll be at the heart of our Occupational Health service, supporting the delivery of essential health assessments and clinical programmes.

    * Your responsibilities will include:

    * Conducting clinical observations including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, height, weight, and respiratory rate.

    * Supporting Occupational Health clinicians with assessments, medicals, and health surveillance programmes.

    * Performing routine clinical procedures such as ECGs, blood glucose monitoring, and phlebotomy (where trained).

    * Assisting with audiometry, spirometry, vision screening, and other occupational health assessments.

    * Preparing equipment, clinics, and testing environments to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.

    * Maintaining accurate clinical records and documentation.

    * Providing a positive, professional, and supportive experience for employees attending appointments.

    * Supporting health promotion and wellbeing initiatives across company sites.

    What We're Looking For

    We're interested in individuals who are passionate about healthcare, enjoy working with people, and take pride in delivering excellent patient care.

    Essential Requirements

    * NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

    * Previous experience within a healthcare, clinical, care, or occupational health environment.

    * Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across West and South Yorkshire.

    Desirable Skills

    * Phlebotomy experience or qualification.

    * Experience using clinical or healthcare IT systems.

    * Previous Occupational Health experience.

    * Audiometry, Spirometry, or Health Surveillance experience.

    What You'll Receive

    * Excellent Benefits Package

    * Salary of £33,000 - £38,000 depending on experience

    * 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays

    * 10% matched pension contribution

    * Private healthcare

    * Death in Service benefit (3x annual salary)

    * Full training and ongoing professional development

    * Structured career progression opportunities

    * Supportive and collaborative team culture

    * Employee wellbeing programmes and resources

    Build a Career That Matters

    This is more than a technician role - it's an opportunity to develop specialist Occupational Health skills, work within a highly respected clinical team, and contribute directly to improving employee wellbeing and workplace health.

    If you're looking for a rewarding role where you can grow professionally while making a meaningful difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.
