How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    *About the Role*

Five Education is looking for a creative and organised Social Media & Marketing Assistant to join our team on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for digital content and social media to make a real impact within a growing recruitment business.

You'll be responsible for creating and managing engaging content across our social media channels, supporting wider marketing activity, and helping to ensure our brand is represented consistently and professionally online. We're looking for someone who brings their own ideas to the table and takes initiative - not just someone who executes a brief, but someone who actively contributes to how we show up online.

    *Key Responsibilities*

    - Create engaging digital content including graphics, captions, and short-form video across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube
    - Proactively suggest and develop new content ideas, trends, and campaigns that align with our brand and audience
    - Schedule, publish, and manage content across social media platforms
    - Coordinate with team members to gather information for social media posts and wider marketing materials, including posters, brochures, and booklets
    - Upload content to the company website, including imagery and written copy, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines (full training provided)

    *Skills & Experience*

    - Strong understanding of LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, with some experience of YouTube
    - Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; working knowledge of Adobe InDesign desirable
    - Experience creating and editing video content using CapCut and/or Adobe Premiere Pro
    - Confident using Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
    - Basic familiarity with Canva
    - Able to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
    - A self-starter who brings fresh ideas and doesn't wait to be told what to do next

    *What We Offer*

    - £15 per hour
    - Holiday pay
    - One day per week in our Bristol office in BS1, with flexibility to split into two half days if preferred
    - A friendly, supportive team environment
