How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a fast growing provider of specialist autonomous robotics software and equipment seeking a dynamic, solutions engineer to act as the company’s primary technical presence on customer sites. With an excellent package on offer this is a great opportunity for a systems engineer with a background in robotics and hands-on experience with CAN bus protocols and API integration. 

    Responsibilities

    Supporting the integration of the business’s product range into customers’ fleets of AGV’s and AMR’s across the UK and Europe
    Serving as the company’s primary technical presence on site, ensuring the customers achieve full safety compliance using the company’s systems
    Advising on the integration of the company’s system offerings inclusive of CAN bus topology, wiring schematics and API integration
    Conducting design reviews and site surveys throughout the sales process
    Giving technical product walk throughs and providing technical support to customers across the UK and Europe
    Creating relevant reports, guides and documentation for both customer and internal useRequirements 

    The company are ideally looking to bring on a solutions/systems engineer that has experience of working within robotics and has practical experience with CAN bus protocols and API integration. They may also consider individuals who have experience of integrating systems in a different industrial setting provided you still have CAN bus/API hands-on experience. In terms of location, you can be based anywhere in the UK but there will be an expectation to travel nationally and into Europe. It is essential that you hold a full UK driver’s license.
