How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Major Recruitment are looking for a motivated Aluminium Fabricator with experience in MIG welding (and TIG desirable but not essential) to join our friendly fabrication department.

Experience working with steel as well as aluminium is advantageous. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a hands-on approach and a passion for craftsmanship to contribute to exciting projects and grow their career with a trusted and supportive employer.

As an Aluminium Fabricator, you’ll play a key role in producing and assembling aluminium and steel components to the highest standards of accuracy, durability, and finish. Working from technical drawings, you’ll help us deliver excellent results for our clients while maintaining the quality and reliability we’re known for. We’re looking for someone who is flexible, reliable, and committed — and in return, we offer a positive workplace where overtime is available when business demands require it.

    Key Responsibilities

    * Fabricate and assemble aluminium and steel components with precision and accuracy.

    * Carry out MIG work (and TIG where applicable) to ensure strength, durability, and a high-quality finish.

    * Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

    * Check completed work meets required standards for quality and durability.

    * Follow internal production processes and update progress where required.

    * Work closely with colleagues and supervisors to ensure smooth project completion.

    Candidate Requirements

    * Proven experience in aluminium fabrication (experience with steel desirable).

    * Skilled in MIG welding (TIG desirable but not essential).

    * Ability to read and work from technical drawings.

    * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

    * Flexible, reliable, and willing to work overtime when required.

    * Good teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    * Confident in taking on new challenges.

    * Hands-on and practical, with an eye for detail.

    * Team player with a positive, can-do attitude.

    * Looking to build a long-term career in the signmaking industry.

    * Commitment to health, safety, and compliance in everything you do.

    Why Join Us?

You won’t just join a workplace — you’ll join a team that values your skills, supports your development, and celebrates success together. You’ll be part of a busy, friendly fabrication department in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities to learn, grow, and shape your future with a company that has been leading the industry for more than four decades.
