How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

Senior Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Manager

Salary Range: £50,000 – £60,000 plus performance Bonus

Hybrid Tangmere, West Sussex, or fully Remote About Us

We are the clear market leader in our sector and one of the fastest growing car buying companies in the world. In the UK we generate over 100,000 customer enquiries each month and facilitate the purchase of thousands of vehicles through our high traffic websites and nationwide operations. We have now launched across the United States, with multiple states already operational and an ambitious plan to expand nationwide. Our rapid expansion and success have been driven by outstanding people, a strong culture, and our ability to lean into the advantages of cutting-edge technology. We are not a speculative startup. We have been established for over 15 years, are highly profitable, and have achieved this scale without external funding. Our target is bold: we are working towards a billion-dollar valuation within the next five years. Along the way, we want our growth to make a positive difference to others. We have already donated over £1 million to various charities.

    The Role:

    Delivering Conversion Optimisation at Scale

This is a highly hands-on role spanning experimentation, analytics, UX optimisation, customer journey design, CRM optimisation, sales-assisted conversion and commercial performance improvement. You will work closely with the Head of CRO, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data and Sales teams to identify opportunities, prioritise initiatives and deliver measurable business impact.

    • Improve performance across website, phone, SMS, email, WhatsApp and live chat.

    • Test messaging, timing and communication strategies.

    Sales & Offline Conversion Optimisation

    • Analyse lead routing and follow-up processes.

    • Improve sales-assisted conversion performance.

    • Support tracking, attribution and measurement improvements.

    • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation and emerging technologies to improve customer experience, conversion performance and operational efficiency.

    Cross Functional Collaboration

    • Work closely with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data and Sales teams.

    • Ensure optimisation initiatives are delivered effectively and at pace. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

    • Report on experimentation outcomes and business impact.

    • Contribute to a culture of continual optimisation and learning.

    • Ensure optimisation initiatives are measured against meaningful commercial outcomes including bookings, collections and revenue contribution where appropriate. • Support delivery and reporting of CRO-related OKRs across UK and US operations.

    What We're Looking For

    • 5–8+ years' experience in CRO, Growth, Product Optimisation or a similar commercially focused role.

    • Proven experience owning experimentation programmes.
