A specialist school in Reading is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have a range of complex learning needs, supporting their educational, social, and emotional development.
The Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, helping them access learning, build confidence, and develop important life skills. The successful Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will play an important role in creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every pupil can thrive.
As a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with a range of complex learning needs and disabilities
* Assist with personalised learning activities and interventions
* Support communication, social interaction, and emotional development
* Encourage independence and confidence wherever possible
* Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils
* Work closely with teachers, therapists, and SEN professionalsThe school is looking for a patient, caring, and committed Complex Needs Teaching Assistant who is passionate about making a difference. Experience within SEN, care, support work, healthcare, or education would be beneficial but is not essential.
The successful Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will receive ongoing training and support while working within a collaborative and experienced team. The Complex Needs Teaching Assistant will have excellent opportunities to develop valuable SEN knowledge and practical experience.
This role is ideal for graduates or individuals interested in careers in education, psychology, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, nursing, or social care.
