How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Behaviour Teaching Assistant

    Location: Newbury
    Start Date: ASAP
    Pay: £90 - £105 per day

    Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning?

    A welcoming and supportive school in Newbury is seeking a Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with pupils who require additional behavioural support and help them develop the skills needed to succeed both academically and socially.

    In this role, the Behaviour Teaching Assistant will work with students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, supporting them to manage their behaviour, regulate emotions, and engage positively in the classroom. The successful Behaviour Teaching Assistant will play a key role in creating a structured and encouraging environment where pupils can thrive.

    As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will:

    Support pupils with behavioural needs in and out of the classroom
    * Help implement behaviour management strategies and support plans
    * Build positive and consistent relationships with students
    * Encourage engagement with learning and school activities
    * Support emotional regulation and conflict resolution
    * Work closely with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionalsThe school is looking for a patient, resilient, and enthusiastic Behaviour Teaching Assistant who can remain calm under pressure and provide consistent support.
