We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Duct Fitter to join a team on a large commercial construction project. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established Mechanical contractor delivering a high-profile development.
The successful candidate will have experience installing a variety of ductwork systems within commercial environments and be able to work efficiently from technical drawings while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Installation of rectangular, circular, and spiral ductwork systems
Reading and interpreting HVAC and mechanical drawings
Installing ductwork supports, brackets, and associated containment
Measuring, marking out, and fitting ductwork to specification
Working alongside mechanical and M&E teams to ensure programme deadlines are achieved
Carrying out modifications and remedial works where required
Ensuring all installations are completed in line with industry standards and project specifications
Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to site health and safety procedures
Requirements
Proven experience as a Duct Fitter on commercial construction projects
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and installation plans
Experience installing galvanised, rectangular, circular, and spiral ductwork systems
Strong understanding of HVAC installation practices
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to detail and quality standards
Essential Qualifications
Valid CSCS Skill Card (Blue or Gold preferred)
Relevant NVQ or recognised trade qualification in Ductwork Installation
Own tools and PPE
Desirable Qualifications
IPAF
PASMA
SSSTS / SMSTS (for supervisory candidates)
First Aid at Work
