Are you an experienced Line Leader or Production Team Leader looking for your next challenge? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing food manufacturing business that is seeking a motivated Lead Operative to join its production team.

The Role
As a Lead Operative, you will play a key role in supporting daily production operations, leading a team, and ensuring quality, safety, and productivity standards are consistently achieved.
Key duties include:
Leading, motivating, and supporting a team of production operatives
Becoming the go-to expert for the production lines under your supervision
Ensuring production targets and quality standards are met
Completing production records accurately and efficiently
Reporting maintenance, quality, and production issues promptly
Maintaining excellent hygiene, housekeeping, and health & safety standards
Supporting the wider supervisory team to drive continuous improvementPlease note: This is a hands-on, physically active role involving manual handling.
What We're Looking For
Essential
Previous experience as a Line Leader, Team Leader, or Supervisor within a production environment
Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
Strong communication and people management skills
Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment
Desirable
Experience within food manufacturing
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety standards
Dairy or FMCG manufacturing experience
Shift Information
Minimum 37.5 hours per week, working 5 shifts over 6 days.
Start times:
Early Shift: 5:15am
Late Shift: 1:30pmFinish times are based on production requirements.
Please note: Candidates must be able to work both early and late shifts. Shift patterns are determined by production needs and do not rotate on a fixed weekly basis.
