Key Responsibilities

As a senior member of the team, you will:

* Lead the delivery, technical review, and quality assurance of complex and high-profile fire engineering projects across a variety of sectors.

* Develop and oversee fire strategies and innovative engineering solutions that meet regulatory and client requirements.

* Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers at all stages of their careers.

* Contribute to business development activities, helping to secure and grow new opportunities.

* Support recruitment, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.

* Mentor and coach team members, supporting their professional and technical development.

* Contribute to company strategy, operational improvements, and business planning.

* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, regulators, and project teams.

* Stay informed of developments in UK fire legislation, building safety regulations, and industry best practice.

* Promote a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

About You

Essential Requirements

* Significant experience within a fire engineering consultancy environment, typically around 10 years or more, although the quality and breadth of experience are more important than the exact number of years.

* Proven track record of delivering fire strategies and complex fire engineering solutions across a range of projects.

* Strong understanding of UK fire engineering legislation, regulations, and the evolving building safety landscape.

* Experience leading or supporting technical teams and providing technical oversight.

* Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

* Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.

Desirable Requirements

* Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or actively working towards chartership.

* Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.

* Commercial awareness and project management experience.

* Experience contributing to business development, proposal writing, and tender submissions.

* Experience leading teams, mentoring engineers, and supporting organisational growth.
