How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Salary: £32,916 - £51,048 (dependent on experience)

    SEN Teacher – Specialist Provision, Bristol

    Masterclass Education is working in partnership with a highly regarded specialist school in Bristol to recruit an exceptional SEN Teacher. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dedicated team that is passionate about transforming the educational experiences of pupils with additional learning needs.

    The school supports children and young people who require a tailored approach to learning and places a strong emphasis on developing confidence, independence, communication skills, and emotional wellbeing alongside academic progress.

    This specialist setting provides a calm, structured, and supportive environment designed to help pupils overcome barriers to learning. The school caters for students with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

    Key Responsibilities

    As an SEN Teacher, you will:

    * Deliver engaging and accessible lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.

    * Adapt the curriculum to ensure all pupils can access meaningful learning opportunities.

    * Work collaboratively with support staff and specialist professionals to implement individual learning plans.

    * Build positive and trusting relationships that encourage pupil engagement and confidence.

    * Track and celebrate progress, recognising achievements both inside and outside the classroom.

    * Support the development of social, emotional, and life skills alongside academic learning.

    The Successful Candidate Will Have

    * Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

    * Experience working with pupils with SEND, either within mainstream or specialist education.

    * A creative and flexible approach to teaching and learning.

    * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

    * The ability to remain calm, patient, and resilient when faced with challenges.

    * A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs to succeed.
