How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Housing Project Workers needed for a new project in Nottingham

This opportunity within our 28‑bed temporary accommodation service for single adults experiencing homelessness is perfect for someone who thrives in a role that blends practical support, housing progression, and person‑centred guidance. You’ll play a key part in helping residents build stability, develop essential life skills, and move on into long‑term housing—typically within 6 months.

    Key Responsibilities

    Housing & Move‑On Support

    * Create and monitor Move‑On Plans and Ready‑to‑Move Plans within the first week of arrival.

    * Support residents to understand tenancy responsibilities, set up bank accounts, manage budgets, and access welfare or debt advice.

    * Ensure Personal Housing Plans (PHPs) are reviewed and updated promptly.

    * Support residents to register for housing options including Homelink, Registered Provider portals, and private rented opportunities.

    * Build relationships with local authorities, private landlords, NPRAS and Registered Providers to increase move‑on options.

    * Facilitate or attend property viewings and help residents set up their new home (utilities, furniture grants, GP/dentist registration).

    Operational & Safety Responsibilities

Support Housing Benefit applications and maximise income opportunities. Complete weekly flat health and safety checks. Log incidents, risks and concerns in line with policy. Address non‑engagement through persistent, flexible support and escalate concerns where necessary.

    About You

    * Clear, friendly and professional communicator with a genuine desire to help others progress.

    * Able to read, follow and record information accurately.

    * Confident using basic IT (emails, Word, updating records).

    * Resilient, calm under pressure, and able to manage challenging situations.

    * Understands professional boundaries and confidentiality.

    * Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and values‑driven approach.
