How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Property Litigator

    Birmingham | Hybrid | £50,000 - £65,000

    GMP Recruitment Agency Limited are proud to be partnered with an award winning, successful law firm in Birmingham. We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Property Litigator to join a growing Dispute Resolution team. Candidates with approximately 2–5 years' post-qualification experience are encouraged to apply; however, this is intended as a guideline only. Applications from individuals with a different level of PQE will also be welcomed where they can demonstrate the relevant expertise, technical ability and commitment to the role.

    This is a full-time position based at their Birmingham office, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements available for the right candidate.

    The Role:

    * The successful candidate will handle a varied caseload of property litigation matters, including:

    * Residential and commercial landlord and tenant disputes, acting for both landlords and tenants.

    * Boundary and neighbour disputes.

    * A broad range of property-related contentious matters.

    * TOLATA claims.

    * Professional negligence claims arising from property transactions and advice.

    * Supporting the wider Commercial Litigation team on general dispute resolution matters where required.

    Skills and Experience

    * Strong technical knowledge across property litigation matters.

    * Experience using case management systems and standard office software, including Word, Excel and PDF-based applications.

    * Advocacy experience and confidence representing clients where appropriate.

    * The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

    * Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy environment.

    * A commitment to delivering exceptional client service and managing client expectations professionally.

    * An interest in business development and contributing to the continued growth of the firm's litigation practice.

    * The ability to build upon the team's established reputation and maintain high standards of service delivery.

    As this role involves regular interaction with clients, strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential. The successful candidate will be comfortable working under supervision, meeting deadlines and contributing positively to a supportive and high-performing dispute resolution team.
