How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Assistant

    A fantastic opportunity has recently become available for a Psychology Graduate - Mental Health Assistant in a specialist school in Reading. The school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, but they can also accomodate a September start!

    The role as a Mental Health Assistant:

    To support students who struggle with their class work
    Facilitate a sun and friendly learning environment
    To provide support to the class teacher
    To help the class teacher prepare lesson materials and classroom boards
    To keep the classroom a tidy and presentable environment
    To encourage children to do their best
    Help manage classroom behaviour
    Listen to the children read and practice their phonicsThe successful Mental Health Assistant:

    You will need to be calm and compassionate. Personality is everything!
    You must be able to take initiative well and problem solve
    Have some experience working with children, desirable but not essential
    You must be patient. Some students struggle with additional learning needs and need someone supportive to help them get through the school day
    You must understand the importance of safeguarding in schools
    Must have an enhanced DBS Check or be willing to apply for one
    Must have right to live/work in the UK - we not offer sponsorships** If you do not have a DBS certificate - we can support your application
