How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Student Supervisor (Behaviour) - Secondary School - Brent - September 2026 Start - Full-Time

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their full potential?

Do you have the confidence, resilience, and interpersonal skills to positively influence student behaviour and engagement in a secondary school setting?

Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Brent seeking to appoint a dedicated Student Supervisor (Behaviour) from September 2026. This full-time role is ideal for graduates, youth workers, sports coaches, mentors, or individuals considering a future career in education, psychology, social work, or pastoral care.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive school community, helping students overcome barriers to learning and develop the skills and behaviours needed for success.

    The Role

As a Student Supervisor (Behaviour), you will work closely with pastoral leaders, teaching staff, and students to promote positive behaviour, engagement, and wellbeing across the school.

    Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Supervising students throughout the school day, including breaktimes, lunchtimes, and transitions between lessons
Supporting the school's behaviour and inclusion policies
Working one-to-one and in small groups with students who require additional behavioural or pastoral support
Building positive relationships with students and acting as a trusted role model
Supporting students in regulating their behaviour and making positive choices
Assisting with restorative conversations and behaviour interventions
Monitoring student attendance, punctuality, and engagement
Supporting students who may be experiencing social, emotional, or mental health challenges
Liaising with teachers, pastoral leaders, and parents where appropriate
Helping to maintain a safe, calm, and purposeful learning environment across the school
Contributing to student support plans and behaviour monitoring processes

Who the School is Looking For

The school is keen to hear from enthusiastic and resilient individuals who are passionate about making a difference in young people's lives.

    You should have:

A degree or relevant experience working with young people
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
The ability to remain calm, professional, and confident when managing challenging situations
A positive, proactive, and resilient approach
    Excellent relationship-building skills
A genuine passion for supporting young people and promoting positive outcomes
Previous experience in education, youth work, mentoring, coaching, sports leadership, behaviour support, or a similar setting is desirable but not essential

    Why Apply?

Join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Brent
Make a meaningful difference to students' behaviour, wellbeing, and educational outcomes
Gain valuable experience for careers in teaching, pastoral care, psychology, social work, or youth services
Work alongside experienced pastoral leaders and school staff
    Full-time, term-time only role with a September 2026 start
Opportunity for long-term progression and professional development
Be part of a school community that values inclusion, support, and student success
